It´s a good book to students because it´s used an easy language, chapters are small, it includes exercises about the plot, a cd-audio, internet projects, etc.
This Merchant is a short version of the original text by Shakespeare, and it only offers a way to practise and learn English.
Love, revenge, racism, friendship, money or law are some of the plots that make the story which happens in Venice in XVII Century. Exists a film based on this novel; I watched it last year in v.o. and it was very difficult because actors speak ancient English. I´m going to watch it again this days, and I´ll look for the original book by Shakespeare to read it next summer.
